If you'd like to receive an email for when you receive a PM you'll have to enable that option.

Goto your user control panel (click the down arrow under your username in the top right corner.)

Then go-to Board Preferences Tab

Then go-to the Edit Notification Options

Then Check the Email box on Someone Sends you a private message
